Celina Texas 2026: The Explosive Growth Reshaping One of America's Fastest Rising Cities
Five years ago Celina, Texas was a small farming community of roughly 20,000 people sitting quietly at the northern edge of Collin County. Today it has more than 60,000 residents and is adding thousands more every single month. By the end of this decade city planners project Celina will exceed 100,000 residents — a fivefold increase in just fifteen years.

"Things are finally really happening on the retail front in Celina now," Collin County real estate broker Rex Glendenning told The Dallas Morning News after H-E-B's land purchase — one of several major retailers, including Costco and Lowe's, that have staked out land in the city in recent years.
Celina Town Center Development
The Celina Town Center is emerging as the commercial heart of the new Celina. Located at the intersection of Preston Road and Punk Carter Parkway, the development is bringing retail, dining, and services to a city that has long been dominated by residential construction. Expect the commercial corridor along Preston Road to look dramatically different by 2028 than it does today.
Road and Infrastructure Investment
Growth at Celina's pace puts enormous pressure on roads and utilities. The city and Collin County have approved billions of dollars in infrastructure bonds to address the challenge.

Major builders active in Celina include D.R.
